40 Cal Magazines

Does anyone know if they 10 rounds magazines will also work with the 40C? I'm told you can remove the plastic extension it works in a 40C

What the 40C uses a standard 10 round magazine which I have one with the extension and another with a flat plate and I also use two 15 rounds with an X-Grip!

So your question is what about a 10 round magazine provided it is a S&W made for that weapon???

Or is it any old 10 round magazine?

I would imagine they use the same tube/spring but you would still need the compact basepad to finish it off. Can't see where you'd come out ahead.
