40 S&W Federal American Eagle 1000 round box.

Not sure if it is a good price or not as I have only been shooting since February of this year. I was at my LGS this morning (Shooters in Jax, FL) looking for another mag for my Shield 40, which surprisingly that had in stock for $37.99. While I was there I saw a 1000 round boxes of Federal American Eagle FMJ 155gr for $349.99. I picked up both because I am going to be taking a defensive handgun course with my mother next month and it requires at least 3 mags and at least 500 rounds of ammo.

I was wondering if that is an acceptable price for the ammo or has anyone seen it cheaper at other places? Not that it matters now, but I would like to know for future reference if that was a good deal or not.

The only cheaper 40 that i have seen is the 100 round pack at walmart for about $30. Ur price is 35 cent per round which seems good. Im happy at 40 a round. But i have only been at this since december.
