Before replacing my semiautos for wheelguns I shot a lot of 40cal.
I had heard talk of a 40 S&W performance center but have yet to see anything.
Is it just a myth, or is there a carry sized .40 revolver?

Model 646, 6 shot L-frame .40 S&W, no longer in production.
I like mine for ICORE.

Lots of people "wish" for .40 cal K frames, but the metal just isn't there.

Model 646.

These are from the last run of 900 "Parts Clean Up" Guns...

Night Guard...

These guns are just a little too new for what I normally collect... but I bet they were a 610 (N-Frame) Pattern for the 10mm, which woud also of course shoot .40's with a moonclip.

What a fine looking pair of revolvers, thanks for the post.

Those look nice. I have been wanting a 646 for some time now. My 610 is doing double duty so I am kinda covered.

I have a 646 and I love it. I had a 610 and sold it, seemed unnecessarily heavy. The L frame is perfect for the 40. My wife and I were both shooting decent groups just last weekend at 90 feet. I'd buy another tomorrow if the price was right.
