This 41 Magnum was originally shipped in April of 1964 and returned to S&W to be refinished in 1966. It has become my favorite shooter in this caliber. I purchased these Herrett's stocks many years ago. They are made of figured walnut and feature Herrett's fine checkering. The revolver and stocks make for a winning combination.

gunsmith11...We'll most likely never know the answer to that question, but it has been speculated the revolver may have had a finish defect when it was shipped and it was returned for a warranty refinish, or it may have been damaged and had to be refinished.
