While tooling about in Adamstown PA. at the large outdoor antique flea markets me and the girl came apon this old Sears and Roebuck BBQ grill,,,, Except for the finish on the lower level, The thing looks unfired,,, The Charcoal briquets were lined with newspaper from 1966, The right side table folds back over the right side grill, The left grill has a lever which raises or lowers the briquets, All in All a nice vintage BBQ grill, I am trying to find when it was made with no luck thus far,, I havent been able to find another pic of one either,,,
The two Aluminum tins have no stampings or labels, And under the hinged cutting board is a storage compartment...
Have you ever seen another?
Any Idea when it was made?
BTW, I have no real use for it,,,, But I just had to have it, Please I hope that at least one of you understand.... Just too cool to leave there for the $$$$.
And try as I might,,, I cant picture a BBQ gun for this BBQ grill except for a J frame with those Pink grips??~?~?~?~?~~?

You'll need a 3" bodyguard (preferably nickel) with a collins drink and a swizzle stick.

That's really cool. Now you need to accessorize with period picnic pieces. Go to fleabay and do a search for Shel-glo. That will point you towards the correct dishware. Hit the Cabelas site and take a look at the Coleman steel belted cooler to keep you beverages iced.

Now if you can only find a nice S&W Bodyguard to go with that grill. Or if you always wondered where you would wear that nickle plated, 2" barreled, fake stage gripped, butchered Victory, you may have just found your answer.

Do I have to pull out the NIB Nickel model 40 from 1970?
Wish I could find a 60s Sears Catalogue to look it up!

You don't have to explain why you bought it. And I don't have to explain to you why. I just watched a show about tear drop trailers. Practical nastalgia that reminds us of simpler times. If my wife and I came across that it would be on my patio right now. Can you tell us what you paid for it?

Before I tell you what I paid I will tell you that the two containers are stepped and what you see it the top 1/3rd of them...
The real issue is that me and my girl live in the 50s even though we are 42-43,,,, Our kitchens and most everything we own are from the 1900s to the 50s including the Oster Beehive Blender/ Chambers stove/ Hobart coffee grinder...ECT... You get the idea.
I was able to get the grill for 100,,, A bit embarassing considering that I am really cheap and I can usually find what I am looking for for way less than I usually see them for,,,, But I thought I will never see another vintage BBQ grill like that one,,, EVER again.
I will get a daytime pic hopefully Tuesday.... The shot above was at about midnight before wheeling it into the garage...
Did I get hosed?
I really never see vintage grills to do any comparison.
