After a few weeks of reading, looking, handling & reading some more, I finally broke into the gun fund and bought my first "snubbie"!

Can anybody offer some words of advise for my new addition?

Shoot it! Given the right loads, you'll love it.

Congratulations!

For me this is a nice pocket gun. So, were I you, I would find a Desantis Nemesis or an Uncle Mike's number 4 fabric holster to break up the outline and keep in the right orientation in my pocket.

Yeah, there are lots of more expensive options in leather or Kydex. But, try the cheapie first. They are hard to beat.

Oh, and while you are dry firing to smooth out your trigger and get accustomed to your new toy, see if you can learn to stage on the point where the cylinder locks up just before the hammer falls. An old cop taught me that trick. Once you can do that, it is just like shooting single action to complete the trigger pull and fire.

According to my friend, this was worth quite a few points during qualification. For me, it's just about having fun blowing away the center of the target at seven (7) yards.

I'm sure you already know that's a good distance to start with. Longer can be fun too, but not until you get good with that trigger.

Have fun, sir!

Oh, and something like this stuff is good ammo, if you can find it.
