I have a chance to purchase some older, discontinued boxes of 45 AR ammo made by PMC. The ammo has been on the dealer's shelf for quite a while but is clean and in the box. The dealer is asking 25 dollars per 50 round box. What does everyone think? Can't remember the bullet weight or style.

See what kind of deal he'll make you if you buy it all. +1 on PMC being good ammo.

If it has the usual soft lead bullets, don't count on it shooting too well. You may get lucky, but my experience with Remington lead ammo in a M-1950 Target .45 was unhappy. The rifling in .45 ACP revolvers is designed to take jacketed bullets.

But if you reload, you can always save the brass. This is mainly a handloader's cartridge, anyway. (.45AR)
