4506 Safety Lever Placed in Backwards. Can’t remove due to clearance issues.

Well, after a range day last weekend I decided to clean some of my stuff and in the process placed this safety lever in backwards. Attached are photos of what/how far and where it does not have the clearance to be removed currently.

Do I need to file down the channel or grind the safety lever completely off? This is not a gun that will ever be sold so looks isn't the issue but I'd like to not ruin it completely. Thanks in advance. IMG_6678.webp

The first two pictures are your gun and the 3rd picture is a photo from the internet. You can see I added red lines to each picture. Turn lever until it aligns with the red line in the photos. That part of the cut out in the slide is a little bit larger. This will allow the lever arm to come out a little bit further. You should then be able to pry up on the lever arm and get it over that edge. Once it's over the edge you can tap it out with a punch.4506.webp4506(2).webp4506(3).webp
