Which of the two magazines pictured below is the correct magazine for an early (non-rail) 4513TSW?

- Both hold 6 rounds, are marked ES1, and seem to fit the 4513TSW

- Neither has the additional pressed indentations at the lips designed for the CS-45

- Shape of the base plates is very different

My thanks to the Forum members who responded to my initial set of questions.

I own a couple dozen 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gens and all of mine have the skinnier, more squared off base plates on the magazines. Not a single one of mine has that chunkier round plate.

The pre-rail Model 4513TSW... with the grip cut for a recessed magazine look... came originally with the rounded base magazines on the right in your first photo. :)

The magazine on the left looks like a CS45 magazine lacking vertical indents... or a pre-rail 4513TSW magazine on which someone changed the base. :)

I bought some awhile back that were advertised for the CS45, but look like the one on the right with the rounded base plate. I've been using them as range mags for my CS40 converted to 10mm. I wouldn't trust them for SD in the 10, but they work pretty good for target practice. I don't have a CS45 to try them in, but I'm guessing they would work since they lock in place properly with the CS40.

I almost snagged a pre-rail 4513TSW a few weeks ago that I found online at a pawnshop I was working near. I stopped by at lunch and it had sold earlier that morning. I'm still looking for one.

When the original 4513TSW was released, they came with three of each of the baseplates you have there.

Both rounded and with the finger rest. Three were on the mags and the other three were in the box.

I prefer the rounded as the finger rest mag base makes me feel like my hand is being squeezed up the grip frame. Regards 18DAI
