I was rereading Semper Fi by WEB Griffin.
I started doing some looking on the internet about the 4th Marines, their time as China Marines, and then through WWII, as chronicled in the Griffen CORPS series of books.
I found these sites which have a picture series, as well as documentary about the 4th Marines. Old photographs are always fascinating to me, and even though I have no connection with the 4th Marines, maybe some of you do? In any case the photographs are very interesting.

Sir, I was in the 4th Marines at Camp Schwab (Okinawa) from November '84 to November '85. The "China Marines" days were a little before my time.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

One thing I remember from
that book is not to take more
chow on your plate
than you are going to eat...

Golf 2/3 Rockpile & Mothers Ridge.
India 3/5 An Hoa ... Phu Nons & Liberty Bridge.

With all the Marines hanging around here, it seems like there'd be more than you. Other than passing thru ... never got to work with the 4th Marines.
