I bought a 5.11 Tactical Undergear Holster Shirt this week from our new 5.11 outlet. I tried it out today and have been very impressed with it. It wears like Underarmor and provides plenty of support for my Walther PPK/S plus it's comfortable and breathable. The lined holster pockets are large enough to hold a backup revolver or sub compact semi-auto.

My wife and I did our bi-weekly shopping trip to town and I wore it under a henley pull over sweater. I couldn't detect any carry print under the pull over yet it was easy enough to get to the weapon, and was very comfortable while driving. The shoulder yoke supports the weight so it's not pulling on your shoulder like a shoulder holster often does. I carried the gun in one pocket and a spare magazine in the other side.

For the LEO's, I've not tried it while wearing a ballistic vest but I'm thinking it may not be the most optimum carry format with one.

I have one of these shirts. Great for concealability but a bit uncomfortable. They could have done a better job on finishing the inside. I bought another type that has pockets on the outside that works good too and is a bit more comfortable on the inside.

I guess it could also depend on the weapon of choice as well. I tried my Glock 23, Glock 27, and S&W M65 but they were all too heavy. This shirt is more for deep carry of a smaller backup like a J Frame Airweight or one of the polymer .380's.

I wore mine to church today with my PPK/S inside under a oxford shirt and sports coat and tie. It's not a quick draw setup, but it was comfortable enough and did not print.

If wearing it with a ballistic vest it would be both uncomfortable and just about impossible to access the weapon

How about telling us more about this one, please? Thanks.

Thanks to you too, Faulkner, for your review.

I would so totally buy one of these, if I could find one that had a v-neck. I can't take the tacky look while wearing a polo shirt or button down with the top open.

I've used the kramer and the 5.11 shirts. The kramer pretty much requires an equal weight on the off side to not sag significantly. The 5.11 holds much more secure with no sagging. Only con is the holster pockets are deep. Fine for medium guns, my j-frame gets swallowed up. On the plus side it holds firmly enough that you can run with it without worry.

good luck,
b.
