Good for you. These are a blast at the range. Had a couple of mine out yesterday (indoor range - never hit 20 degrees all day). So much fun, 400 rounds seemed like it took 5 minutes
May be an x cop gun. I have noted that sometimes the dept armorer would mix up stocks between guns explaining examples with different numbered wood but not way off. They were in the same shipment.
Good catch! That's a nice looking little snubby - at a great price. It's been ages since I remember seeing a decent S&W for under $300. Let us know how it shoots, and thanks for the post.
I like it. Iam a sucker for pre model 10 snubbys. I saw one at a gun show a while back that Iam almost sure had been renickeled and they wanted $500.00 for it. I think you got an excellent deal.
Dave
It's like buying a new car and you go on the first drive and see a bunch like it. I went to the Live Oak show north of San Antonio and was skunked. Not a really nice S&W that i could use in my collection. On the way home I stopped a small pawn shop in Austin and picked up a pristine nickle round butt snubby pre-10 in the C75xxx range. I come on this forum and see another one. Thats a real nice square butt.
I'm still looking for that exact same gun. I have a nice set of S&W MOP stocks waiting for one when I find it. The gun they are currently on will be sold the second I find one like yours
Here's mine with the pearls. They just don't look right on a S&W made in the 80s:
LOL, Lori and I were on our way back from the OGCA and Lori reminded of the time you went out for coffee for your parents and came back an hour latter with a S&W but no coffee!
Nice M&P.
I wish I could have been there. Had too much stuff going on around the house to get away. Hated missing the show, planning to have a few $$ when the next one rolls around though.
