This one didn't photograph easy. Of course it's just fake pearl, but it has a strong fifties vibe.

There's another fake style called "waterfall" that is even more lovely. It dates to the preceding series and mimics a green or Amber onyx like material

case knives can be as addicting as smiths, colts, etc. I live 1/4 mile from the largest Case dealer in TN. it is in the lumber shed/hardware store. he is a Super Wombat Master Platinum dealer or something like that. over 1,000 knives in stock. lee

My wife has a love-hate relationship with Case knives. She has carried several peanuts over the decades. She carried a stag handled XX till it became to valuable to use hard. She then graduated to a red bone XX till it became too valuable. She now carries daily a modern, circa 1995, pocket worn white bone. She loves the little peanuts. What she hate is, our back account has been severely drained over the decades because I had to have just one more Case Tested.

I carry a Case Muskrat. Mine is a little worn, but still very viable. There were several Case dealers at the Tulsa show this weekend. I asked about a Muskrat at one of the dealers and he said sure here's one. It appeared the same as the one I'm carrying. I turned it over and the tag said $175.00. Mine is starting to look a lot better now.

I did buy a Randall while I was there. what I know about knives wouldn't fill a small page, but I figure like buying guns you have to buy a few lessons to become proficient.

I know that it's just a big commercial enterprise, but when I've driven through Tennesee, I've always stopped at the Smokey Mountain Knife Works. In addition to a lot of other stuff, I seem to remember that they have a lot of Case knives as well. Also a bunch of historical things to look at. Just close to the interstate, and not hard to find.

Best Regards, Les
