Years ago when S&W brought out their 586 I bought one of the first ones in the area, serial # AAE101X. I used it in the Local gun club for the 38 leaque. Sadly I sold it and have always regretted doing so. Well this past summer my lgs got one in with original grips!! Had to have it. It sure feels great to get another 586, always one of my favorites. Ser # AJY475X.

My first center fire was a 686 (sold- bummer), now have a 586 L-Comp 7-shooter and just about 30 minutes ago put a new 627 Pro-Series 8-shot in layaway. Love these things!

My LGS owner called me this summer cause he just got in this
one. 586 no dash did'nt look to have been fired. I bought it
as soon as he said told me the price I love this handgun.
Shoots and handles great.

Although I love the 6" barrels gives it the Dirty Harry look! I'm partial to the 4" inch for better handling characteristics great find love a blued gun!

It's a no dash but has the "M" stamp. I swear, I'll not get rid of this one. The older S&W's are just getting too hard to find not to mention that prices countinue to soar.

I'm glad that you were finally able to recover from your temporary insanity, (big Smile). I hope you enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed the one I have.

I found one 2 years ago, 4" version. I had been looking for awhile.
