586 lust

I am lusting after a 586 lcomp.Not going to
happen at 900.00 o 1,000 price.So I was thinking
you can get a decent 586 and get the barrel
cut down and ported for maybe 600.00.
Anyone done this and what do you think of
this way to go.

I have not done what you propose, as I have a pre lock 586-5 L-comp

.

You might want to call the S&W performance center. They did a second (or third) run of L-comps for Camfour. Odds are they might have some barrels left over from that run. It would be a bonus if you could get one without the comp. Good luck, hope this helps! Regards 18DAI.
