So I have this 586 with a 8 3/8" barrel and it is just begging to have a scope mounted onto it so I can use it for deer hunting. My dad has carried this through the mountains since 1987 and never had a chance to shoot a deer with it, so I am hoping to get a chance some day before he is gone.
The only problem is that the revolver is a 1984 model so it is not pre-drilled for a mount and I am really not sure that I want to got that route unless I have no other options. When looking through all the google search results it appears that everything out there is for the revovlers that are pre-drilled.
Can anyone point me to something that might work that doesn't need to have holes drilled into the revolver?
