5906 not fitting in a 5946 holster.

I have a 5906 and tried to fit it in a Safariland SLS duty holster for a 5946. It would not fit. I thought they have the same dimensions and the only difference is the 5946 is a DAO. Am I missing something?

My guess is the ambidextrous safety/decocker may have added too much width.

I have a 5906 and thought it would fit also . Statement right hand corner said 5906 not compatible with SLS. They also had two different models for large and small trigger guards. Get in touch with customer service, Midway USA has holster finder and probably a lot cheaper
