Hello all, I have this 60-15 which seams to have all the makings of the pro series. Question is it that does not have the “pro series” logo on right side. I can’t seem to find any info on it. It has the 3”barrel with the tapered under lug. Shares the same wood grips as the pro. Am I missing something here? It’s my dads, he bought it used no box, no documents. I will get the serial number if needed. Thanks in advance. Don

A friend of mine had one that was marked "Pro Series" on the right side of the frame below the cylinder. It seems they dropped that marking on recent production. I haven't seen one with the PC logo, but they label it "Performance Center".

This is the current S&W web page on that model. They don't show an image of the left side of the gun and I have to wonder why!? Is there something they don't want to show potential buyers?? ;)

Made me look at mine, it is marked Pro Series. But I also have an early 686 SSR that isn't marked with that, even though I've seen others that are.

So I guess S&W does what they want to, when they want to. :-) I'm okay with that.

I had one. It was marked below the cylinder. A co-worker liked it, so I sold it to him right before I retired. In truth, my hands didn't fit it as well as other j-fames I own, even with grip changes. Don't know why, the frames are all the same size.
