I recently purchased a used Performance Center Model 627.
I've owned several revolvers, but I have never used moon clips.

Can I shoot the 627 without them?

Just curious..............

Thanks

Yes, absolutely.

I keep my PC 627 UDR loaded with 8 rounds in a moon clip for the positive extraction effect that the moon clip provides and carry two 8-shot speedloaders from 5 Star Firearms for my reloads.

Thanks for the quick reply............

I've wanted one of these for a long time.
I found one locally with less than 100 rounds thru it, in perfect condition. It was too heavy for the individual.

Just for info. All 38/357 brass is not made the same in the undercut at the rim. This is where the brass snaps in the moon clips. Most moon clips for 38/357 work well with Remington brass, and some other brands.

Not totally sure about a 627, but most 38/357 moon clips do not work well with Winchester or Starline brass.

Not a big issue, just something handy to know.
