627 vs 686

I have a Perfomance Ctr 627-5 with a 5 inch barrel and a 686-6 with a 4 inch.Why does the 686 have more recoil shooting the same round ? 1 inch difference in the length can't make that much difference.

The 686 is a L frame and the 627 is a N frame it is a heavier frame.

The 627 is a larger, heavier gun. Expect more perceived recoil from the 686.

Thanks for the quick reply.I carry the 686 because it comes out smoother and the extra recoil makes it feel good although the 627 is excellent.
