Briefly looked at some interesting Smiths yesterday. First one was a 629-4 with 3” barrel and no lock. Had hogue style rubber grips with S&W logo molded in (not the silver emblem)
Would this be a Backpacker? Think the price was $750

The other two had not been priced yet but I had to look them up because I had never heard of them.
13-2 not pinned but had recessed cylinder. Looks just like a model 10 with heavy 4” barrel. It was super clean with magna stocks.

The other was a 33-1 in 38S&W with either a 3” or 4” barrel. Pinned and recessed.

I’m hoping to go back to get pricing on the 33 and 13 but the 629-4 really caught my eye

$750 for the model 29 as you describe it sounds like a bargain.

The model 13 is probably a late production -2 “transitional”, usually seen with a recessed cylinder and unpinned barrel.

The model 33-1 in .38 S & W would have a pinned barrel, but as a non-rimfire or Magnum would not have a recessed cylinder.

Yes it IS a "BackPacker"

Yes the 629-4 3" IS a BackPacker...depending on the condition it is worth the $750 they are asking...if you decide not to buy it please tell me where it is at...Thank you...Roger
