I'd appreciate any assistance in identifying this 629-5. The serial # is RSR68XX. The right side grip frame is stamped 21793 on the bottom, the assembly number is 707 on the yoke and right grip frame. There is a bald eagle with an American flag background etched on the sideplate. The chambers are not recessed and it is highly polished. It has one port on each side of the barrel. I'm unable to find any listing for this revolver in the Standard Catalog, Third Edition and the internet was stumped as well. Thanks!

Looking thru the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, it lists a RSA Exclusive Trail Boss Deluxe Anniversary that matches the description of your gun except it is listed as a 629-6 instead of a 629-5. Product # on the one in the book is 160410 and lists it as a 25th Anniversary gun for RSR.

That is as close as I could find. RSR had several special runs.

Thank you, Sir! You are a scholar and a gentleman. I saw -6 note as well, I didn't want to designate it unless I was sure.
