Just got a used 629-6 V-Comp for some steel plates fun. Always clean when it's new to me.

1. But the cylinder spin a little rough. Think the cylinder has not been detailed cleaned. Thinking there is fouling gunking it up.

I'd like to disassemble the cylinder. Did read the FAQs.

Just don't want to turn the extractor rod the wrong way.

Watched a few YouTube videos as well. But want to hear from our members here.

Confirming that you would drop cases in the cylinder, place extractor rod in padded vise and turn the cylinder clockwise to loosen.

2. The front sight is showing holster wear and the bluing on the top is worn down to bare metal. Have a Birchwood Casey Gun Blue Pen, some Aluminum Black in a bottle and a a touch up pen or two. Which would you use?

Thinking the front sight is steel so Gun Blue pen.

Blue pens work great and wear a long time before needing another touch up. It turns the metal blue by a chemical.I used it on both standard blued and parkerized guns.
