Hello, I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping to get some help with a question I have about a front sight I just had installed on my 3" 629 deluxe. I recently purchased a sdm gold dot front sight and had a local gunsmith install it for me and I was very happy with it until I got home and put a flashlight behind it and discovered a slight gap underneath the sight. I realize it's too late now that it's been drilled and pinned and I have not shot it yet but my question is would that gap bring any issues in the future like perhaps maybe the sight teetering back and forth with recoil causing the roll pin to walk itself out or anything like that? Or am I over thinking it? I've provided pictures below, thank you.

I bet that the tab on the underside of the sight is bottomed out in it's mortise. It looks pretty solid. So long as you can't move the sight back and forth by pushing on it with your finger, I wouldn't think twice about it. Nice gun buy the way. I have one just like it, minus the gold bead, and it shoots like crazy.

Thank you very much for the response, I was hoping I was only over thinking it
