629-6 performance center snubby ID please.

I just picked up this 629-6 performance center 2 5/8" from a local shop. Was listed for a screaming deal so I bought it quickly. Unfortunately no box or papers. Didn't realize till I got home that it's ported. All the others that I found online were unported and can't find any like mine. There is a # 174 stamped on the yoke and the serial # is cyu3210. Will post pics if I can figure it out. Was there a special run of 629pc that were ported? Or just previous owner got some work done? Thanks

there were a couple different models of ported performance center 629 snubbies but other than guessing that yours is original i don't know enough to help you out.
either way it's a super cool revolver and i'm curious.
if you don't mind saying what was that 'screaming deal'?

Got it for 700 out the door. Pretty much half of what everyone else is getting around here.

Very nice. I'd get some X-grip rubber on it as those OEM grips are great at imparting every foot pound of energy into your hand, making for a short shooting session.
