629-6 stocks that fit

I ran across a good deal on a 629-6 6 inch, and bought it. Gun shop owner said the frame was the same as all 29s. So, I found a nice set of smooth n frame stocks. They don't fit. The frame looks like a round butt. What gives, no wood stocks for a 629-6?

Your gun has a round butt. Plenty of wood stocks available, either following the round butt configuration, or round to square butt conversion stocks that fit the round butt, but look and feel like square butt stocks. Sounds like the stocks you bought are for an older square butt N frame.
