I picked this 632 up a while back and had no idea it was scarce and collectible. For that reason I never carried it. I even kicked around selling it. I ran across its twin sister in .357 Mag so I'm happy to have the pair and I can carry the 640 without fear of something happening to it. I always liked the hammerless J frames and I think the fluted type barrel on the Pro Series revolvers looks really cool . I'm afraid they are both keepers now.

Nice pair. I have to agree with you on the fluted barrel. It really sets the gun off. Congrats.

Does anyone have the SDVE 40 cal? What about it? Accuracy, dependability, etc?

very special look nice pair of revolvers with their guns flutes which increases rigidity and prevents any deformations. I hope that this model is also available here in Belgium I personally have not seen yet !!

Always confused by 632 S&W "models". I have a NIB alloy, hammerless, 3"that is 32 H&R mag. Can't find it when you look at 632 models. Anyone else have one orknow story?

IN reality fluting does not increase rigidity. What it does do, however, is give you the rigidness of a heavy barrel (major diameter of unfluted portion of barrel) in a much lighter format.
