Hi, I’m trying to change my rear fixed sight to an adjustable rear sight. Has any 659 owners had luck finding one. I have checked on a Trijicon SA07, and Tanfoglio/fusion but neither seller is specific about the 659. I’m guessing the mdl 59 has the same rear dovetail, maybe. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Unlike the Models 39 and 59, I've not seen an aftermarket adjustable rear sight for the second generation fixed sight pistols. No, the first generation and second generation rear sights are completely different designs.

Thank you

The Trijicon SA04 rear sight will fit the 659 fixed cut but the front sight requires machine work.
Millett made adjustable sights for the 659 fixed cut but, once again, the front sight required machine work.
Meprolight once made night sights for the 659 where the front sight was pinned to the factory sight but they have been long discontinued (pictured).

I had forgotten about Millett's sight set, but as mentioned, that low front sight that is made as part of the slide can be an issue. Millett went out of business many years ago and Meprolight has not made sights for the 2nd gen pistols in a very long time.

If you really have your heart set on having adjustable sights on your 659, S&W made plenty of 659's with adjustable rear sights. Those sights are the ones with the big, sheet steel protective wings on either side of the sight base. Either look for a complete pistol with adjustable sights or watch eBay. 2nd generation slides with the adjustable sight sometimes pop up on eBay.
