I would be allover a 625 with a 4.2" barrel for IDPA. 4.2" is the longest barrel allowed for IDPA in the US and would be legal to own up here in Canada. Right now the Ruger GP-100 is our only alternative if we intend to shoot a revolver in IDPA in the US. We have a Canadian Exemption to use 5 and 6 inch revolvers up here.

Take Care

The common sense thing would be to change the law from "longer than 4 inches" to "4 inches or longer."

But I suppose using "common sense" and "government" in the same sentence is pointless in any country, eh?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Gun laws sure have gotten crazy since the 70s. All the money spent on registrations that do no good. Don't want to get on a rant, so enjoy and keep posting.
