I have come into possession of a 686 no dash and already have a 686-3 in the safe. Friend of mine is after me to sell him one or the other. So that being said, which one would you turn loose of? Both are in excellent condition and both have the " Goodyear " grips and are 6 inch models. He is a good friend and I don't mind letting him have one. Also a fair price??
Thanks in advance

Maybe the no dash would be worth more as a collectable someday. But then it turns into a safe queen.
I'd take them both out and shoot side by side. If you shoot one better than the other, keep that one. If it's a toss up. Flip a coin?

What are the barrel lengths? Huge factor in determining value.

2.5" usually brining considerably more than the 4" and 6".

The original batch of 2.5" no dash was from Lew Horton. Can be verified by serial number. 2.5" no dash through dash 3 came with wood combat stocks. Also, the 686 ND and -1 subject to the firing pin and bushing recall.
