686 plus holster options

I have a SW 686 plus 6 inch and plan on getring a 4 inch soon. Any leather holster recommendation? I would like something with an open bottom so I can use both the 4 inch and 6 inch in the same holster. Thanks in advance.

Could you give us an idea as to what you are planning to use
your 686 leather holster for? (i.e.: hunting, general carry,
on-duty carry, pistol competition, etc.?)

Also, hip carry, cross draw, or shoulder holster?

Lastly, what would be your comfort window for a purchase price?


All those items will factor into a 686 leather holster recommendation.

For general carry, Bianchi holsters have been top notch for me.
I have also had many good miles of service from Don Hume leather holsters. Lined leather holsters are a bit more pricey,
but have been worth the money for this old person.

I use a Galco, it's labeled K819 WC and below that "FL 104"

I vote, make one. You can have anything you want! If I can do it anyone can. Just finished this one this last weekend, hand tools only. Maybe $10 worth of materials.
