686 ssr
New to this forum and purchased a 686 SSR Pro series this summer...Haven't had it long and probably shot about 500 or less rounds thru. Last time at the range was set to shoot some .357 ammo made by PMC, said ePMC on box..Loaded up and pulled the trigger, bam and then click, click, click, click and click all misfires...emptied the cylinder and all rounds had the small dent on the primer but did not fire...bought a box of .38 spec and shot the whole box...The guy at the desk took the misfires and loaded a stock 686, not ssr, and went into the range and fired all of them....Said he thought that because of the lighter trigger on the pro series that I needed to use only Federal made ammo....I have posted this on a forum here and got solutions ranging from better cleaning to sending it back to Smith...anyone have any experience with this?
