Very nice. Guessing you have the letter and maybe also the invoice. Here is mine with a lower number that shipped later. Common occurrence for the 44 Magnums. Also with the letter and the invoice and the serial number list.

Good looking 4"! I did get a copy of the invoice but not the serial number list. The serial numbers on these early 44's are all over the place. I have another over 4800 higher serial number that shipped in April of '56 so you need to check!
 
Don Larson pitched a perfect game for the Yankees against the Dodgers in the World Series that year. Only time it was ever done. I'm old enough to remember it! :D
 
I was born in SEP 1954, and have lived an hour away from Tampa since 1969. In the early 90's, I shot some NRA Bullseye pistol matches at the old TPD range in Oldsmar. The best area pistol gunsmith around at the time was a fellow named Nelson, but I remember some of the old timers at the time talking about Jesse Harp. Here is some information on him:
