I have a chance to trade my 649 no dash with original box for a 6906 in good condition with 2 12 round mags.
Would that be a fair trade value wise and is the 6906 concealable?

Thanks

A 6906 is a preferred CC by an awful lot of folks, myself included and is easily concealed, accurate, reliable and high capacity. Check with Desantis for a holster if you get it....

Personally, I would ask for $50.00 as well. If the guy is goofy enough to swap you the #6906 for the j frame he might be willing to give you cash too.

Got to be careful what you post on forums...you never know who might be reading. The way y'all are talking I might just keep my 6906 :D

If you are thinking of carrying the 6906 instead of the 649 you might want to reconsider the trade. The 649 will conceal much better. In addition 649s tend to be much scarcer than 6906s. I carry a 640 and would never give it up for a 6906. Even my 3913, which is a superb carry gun stays home and the 640 rides IWB everyday.

If I had to make a decision which I had to get rid of and could only keep one, either my 6904 or my 649, then my 6904 is history as much as I'd hate to see it go. My 649 would be one of the last I'd part with.

I'm a revolver guy. I would trade that J-frame for a 6906 in a NY minute. Good luck with your decision. Regards 18DAI.

I would keep the 649 and find me a reasonable 6906 to buy. You know they both are great guns and the 649 is getting harder to find. The 6906 is one of the best 9mms made in my opinion. You need both.

DON'T DO IT!!!

I traded my 649 that I bought new in the mid eighties in on a pistol and I have regretted it to this day!!!

I just bought a 442 (No Lock) to replace it, if I ever come across a a 649 in good shape and I've got the money I am going to buy it.
