Anyone have experience with the 6946? Is it the same trigger as the 3953? I would love to find one sometime.

Yes, indeed...a nice piece. I snatched one locally - this nice - for $275 a while ago.

I'd be guessing, but I would think the trigger pull to be the same, though I replace all of my 3rd Gen mainsprings with an 18# Wolff, and all of my 9mm and .40S&W compacts are double stack DAO's, except for the TDA PC Shorty-Forty...

They show up on GunBroker.com every now and then - I think there is one up for auction now...

The trigger would be the same. The 6946 has a wider frame, wider grips, wider trigger bar, and a high cap magazine. All other parts are the same. I use the 15 round magazine in mine due to my hand size.
