696 Production Stats

Can someone tell me (or point me to) productions statistics for the 696, 696-1 and 696-2? My hunch is that total production never got out of the low five digit zone, assuming it even got out of the high fours.

Thanks for any guidance anyone can offer.

Hmm, no answers here? I was a little curious myself.

I don't know the production numbers but they rarely turn up for sale where I shop. Production started in 1996 and the dash -1 arrived in 1997 and the -2 in 2001 and production stopped in 2002. Great guns though, some of my favorite 44s.

I had a no dash. Bought it here. Sold it here. Sold it because the thin forcing cone scared me. I heard that if that breaks, there's no fix. OK if you're just keeping one as a safe queen.

Yeah, keep pressures to 44Spec levels (duh) and it'll last forever. Try to hotrod it and you'll have problems.
