7,62x51 NATO MEN

hello all
today i'm buying ammunitions from 7.62x51 Nato military origin, the mark is MEN from Germany. ammunition from surplus German Army and were manufactured in 1994, but stored in good conditions.
why I bought this ammunition? 1 for the price, 2 for manufacturing quality,
thick bushes and Boxer primers .she can therefore relooding beings.
my question is do you think that 20 years storage can affect the quality of these cartridges?

If it has been stored correctly, 20 year old ammo is nothing to be worried about. Check for corrosion or heavy tarnish and the condition of the boxes to determine storage conditions. It is also good quality ammo, I'd value somewhere around $0.60/rd US.

That ammo is incredibly accurate and very high quality. But if it is the same stuff that was available over here and in the same packaging be careful. The ammo we got in the US was repackaged and put in boxes that had acid in the cardboard. The first battlepack I bought was in perfect condition the second one had about a 10 or 15 percent corrosion rate. I ended up shooting all except maybe 4 or 5 rounds because the corrosion went clear through the case. If you can inspect the rounds and make sure they are not corroded it is very good ammo.

Years ago a local store had the west german 7.62x51 on sale as an iten to get people in the store. Bright and early we are standing at the counter and waiting for our purchases. I ordered one case=1000 rounds. all I got was one 200 round battle pack. Seems the store staff decided to do a little stocking up on their own. Which really didn't sit well with the guys at the counter. Everybody started screaming and yelling. We were finally allowed two battle packs=400 rounds at the sale price. Magnetic bullet, berdan primed,brass case and loaded with ball powder. I later found out about the staff buying their own stash before the store opened. Still have a few rounds to play with. thank you for the clarification I bought in sealed packaging 200 pieces in this package airtight plastic there were cardboard boxes with 20pc / box a few the actual duration was slightly corroded but I cleaned with a very good polishing paste (American way) and they are like new I found this ammunition in germany MEN sheet that factories still today (mod DM 111) .demain I trying them stand.

some traders are bizarre in their way of doing Buzzness' it's the same with us but fortunately there are good. In Belgium this type of ammunition is only available at certain times, so be ready when they are on sale. DM 111 MEN ammunition, primers are type boxer and cases are thick so all good for reloading.

Don't worry about age but rather "condition". About 15 yrs ago I purchased 20,000 rds of ammo for my M1 and it is dated 1964. As long as it was and is stored correctly it won't go bad.

Shot about 50 rds this past August and was very accurate. No over or under pressure exhibited and cases are still reloadable. Still have about 15,000 rds.

I have re packed them (years ago) and they are stored in a climate controlled room to ensure they don't corrode.
