I bought a 70 pound bucket of mixed range brass for $120 from the range I use. I'm a long time revolver fan and reloader but just bought a 1911 style pistol, a new STI Trojan. Being retired, I've got the time to sort it so I grabbed all the .45 auto out and wound up with 786 pieces after chunking anything bent or rough looking. I had hoped for more than that. But is there ever a ton of 9mm, at least 5,000, probably lots more.
I've been thinking about reloading 9mm since anything better than white box stuff gets pricy quick. This was all I needed. Just got back from Cabelas with dies and a variety of bullets. I can now start shooting my only 9mm, a Beretta M9, lots more. Plus, now that I will have lots more ammo, another 9mm is obviously needed….
