Did someone say it was sad picture time?

Hopefully someone here bought it and will soon be posting pictures of revolver previously on life support that this organ donor helped resurrect.

That jack *** was probably a police agency of some kind. The liberal politicians that run almost everything nowadays are scared to death that if the gun was sold back to the public (which would bring some $ back to the treasury) it would raise an outcry among their liberal supporters.

It seems that the pile of parts sold for over $700...

That seller has lots of chopped guns, makes you wonder

So sad...

I was also supprised at this price.

I could use the hammer and trigger though to repair another M&P.

And...if I'm not mistaken, that's a scarce pre war 4 inch barrel also! I've seen in print that only about 100 were produced pre war. I know that number is in dispute but that clearly is a rare, high condition barrel. Also notice no patent markings on the top, which is correct for a true non-chopped barrel. I think he did just fine on that score.

Above it was ID'd as an Outdoorsman. Maybe a Heavy Duty instead?

No, we can't do anything about liberal politicians or the idiots who elect them. At least be thankful the parts survived. Whoever paid $700 for them got a bargain.

The grips need some work, or would go well with a nice working gun. Sadly, looks like someone dropped the barrel, probably after the frame was cut, there's a big dent on one side of the barrel. Everything else looks nice though. Hopefully it all goes to good use.

The winning bidder is our own .38/44 Heavy Duty specialist 1Aspenhill, who wouldn't have dropped the money if he didn't understand what he was getting. Prewar magnas and a scarce barrel? Sounds like a reasonable buy to me. And you get all those other crash parts as well.

Yes, it would have been better to have the whole gun. But the parts can be used to bring new life to damaged guns with intact frames.

I wonder if the dent in the barrel occurred when the arresting officer pointed their sidearm at the thief and said “Drop it or I’ll shoot!”. Or maybe that revolver was turned in for a $75 gift card in one of those amnesty programs.

Well, I guess you guys will be seeing some of the parts for sale soon!
Bill

Perhaps it was originally a police department gun. The seller had a bunch of parts kits for sale that were from typical service configuration K frames, as well as one parts kit from a M66 with an Indiana State Police marking engraved on the sideplate.

Sad to see the frame was chopped like that. I like the 100% satisfaction guarantee the seller offers.
