Thanks guys this is the first one I've seen, it's supposed to be unfired since leaving the factory. I can't imagine drilling on it.

Nice find especially if NIB.

I've had one for about 14 years and really enjoy shooting it with 230 fmj ammo.

A word of caution about the magazines. If they have the button in the middle.

It is possible to dump the ammo when you slap home the mag.

Your hand might press the button enough to cause the bottom plate to slide off.

I've done it before and have shown what happens to my son.

Be sure to use grease on the stainless parts that move. Rails, barrel lugs and frame lugs.

It will last a long time if well lubed.

Have fun!

Oh, man. It's like a 52, only in .45 ACP.
Does it get any better than that?

Actually, it is not at all like a 52. The 52 is exceedingly accurate. The 745s were only "combat accurate" as they were intended for a different sort of shooting contest. I never met a 745 that was any more or less accurate than a 645.

I stand corrected.

I'll stick with my 52.

For a combat accurate .45, I'll stick with my late 4566.
