I got my Ruger 77/22 back from service today and the thing is fixed. I am extremely pleased it took around a month round trip. That's not to bad since they payed for shipping both way's.

They put on the packaging slip that they replaced the trigger guard which is what I expected. The thing will not throw brass across the room with mag in or out. I cant wait to take it out shooting. Hopefully it will be a decent shooter with out much work.

I took some picture's with my cell phone tonight to post because I hadn't gotten to show it off yet but none of the pictures where post-able quality. I hope to include some picture's tomorrow so I can get some in quality light.

Glad you got it back, and I hope they fixed it for you. I'm very happy with mine.

I like to show mine off, so here it is. :D

Good for you, now time to enjoy that wait.

Looking at the picture above and below, must say a really good looking rifle.

They are starting to come out of the woodwork.:D

Good luck with them gentlemen.

Always liked the 77/22, more than the 10/22. How is the trigger?

IC

I have heard really nasty things about the trigger on the 77/22. Mine feel's great its like my AR's its got very little take up no gritty feel and breaks like glass. I was pretty impressed with the trigger. I am wondering if maybe Ruger is spending a little more time and effort building them. I cant wait to get it to range to see how it shoots. I am going to cross my fingers that it will shot under a inch at 100 yard's. I know its seriously pushing my luck for a stock rifle but one can still hope.

I'm not a trigger connoisseur but mine I think is very good. I bought the gun used, so it may have had some work done to it in the past. I do have a 10/22 that's had a trigger job, and I'd say they're about the same.

I don't shoot mine often for groups. Actually the only time I did it was to sight it in, but it was under an inch at 50 yards with the cheap bulk pack Federal HP ammo I use for squirrel hunting.

I got mine over 20 yrs ago, had a trigger job done on it and always really liked the gun. They are tough to upgrade to a better 22 without spending a lot more money although CZ owners may argue that point.

This is a C& P of a post I did a short while back.
“I bought one right after they first came out way back when, put a Leupold 4x on it. I describe that rifle as a sportier that thinks it’s a target rifle. Gun is VERY accurate and has taken a few animals and won me plenty of coffee and lunches in friendly shooting contests. Gun has been a 100% reliable!”

To add to the above the trigger works just fine, no it’s never been worked on. Possibly due to the serious amount of rounds put though it. I regularly shoot it (from bench) out to a 125 yards and if I do my job anything being shot at that distance is in a heap of trouble. Closer ranges off hand it does a great job also.

That same Leupold I put on is still on there and has not been adjusted since the day I sighted in way back when.( it likes Winchester ammo) I live in the people’s republic of NY out in the boonies and am able to have a legal/safe range right in my backyard.

Enjoy your 7722 Hotrodder, I know I do mine!:D
