Got these on a trade today...and no I did not get the rifle...Was told my my local gun shop these were really rare cartridges and have some serious value to them...I have no idea about these things and was looking for some help on them....I was told they are CIRCA 1927 with original box and original interior packing...There are 10 rounds and there is NO head stamp on the cartridges....Any HELP would be appreciated...

This is the same round as the 275 H&H Magnum (or belted), but with a rim. Probably pretty rare, especially since you have box and all. There are rifles out there chambered for this cartridge, and a purist might swap his firstborn child for that box!

Seeing as these (as were most English express cartridges) were made by Kynoch,
I would contact the new Kynoch:

Kynamco

They have most of the old records and can help you out with dates and specs.
The only way you would find out the value would be to see how much
they bring at an auction or contact the Safari Club etc.

According to "Shooting The British Double Rifle" <G. Wright>:
"This cartridge was not popular for very long and H&H were probably
the only gun maker that chambered rifles for this caliber."
The ballistics of ICI #1926 are listed as 41 gr of nitrocellulose under
a 140 grain bullet that went 2650 f.p.s. and developed 18 tpsi.
(Tons/Sq. In.).

I think your only solution is to find a rifle that fits;) Neat find I would imagine that posted on the right forum they would sell for a lot. Let us know what happens.
