I'm in a M-39 mood today.
In about 1972, 9mm Specialists, Covina, CA provided parts and services for the M-39.
Just about everybody in my 30 man department bought the hammer cap to cover up the sharp serations on the M-39 hammer. You could tell an ISP detective by the ragged hole the hammer would tear in his suit coat.
I tried one of the vinyl covered floor plates, but merely rounding off the corners worked better for me.
