If S&W can make and 8 shot 357 on an N Frame, I would think it would be possible to make a 9 shot 327 Mag on an N Frame, or am I wrong to think that?

How awesome would a 9 shot 327 Mag N Frame 3" be for CCW? I am pretty sure I would by one instantly if S&W would make one.

It is really a shame S&W does very little new revolver develoment these days. It seems the last time S&W made any kind of revolver development push was in the late 90s early 2000s with all the cool scandium and titanium guns in just about every caliber imaginable. This push seemed to culminate with the Night Guard series in about 2010 I believe. Very little new revolver development since then. Very sad.

Why not a lucky 13 shot X Frame 327mag for IWB carry? What I really want is the revolver that shoots around corners. The new 986 & 929 can't compare to that.

Do you really think asking for an N Frame 327 Mag is absurd as that?

Yes. S&W produces revolvers on speculative interest ... most popular caliber, CCW potential, etc. The 327 mag club is a small one outside of this Forum, and not nearly large enough for S&W to retrofit a "new" 327 Mag model to sell a few dozen units.

You would be better off seeing if a company like Cylinder & Slide could fabricate a custom cylinder and mate it to an existing N-frame donor gun, then machining a barrel. It would be time and cost sensitive, but I bet it wouldn't cost any more than MSRP on a fresh S&W revolver.

The new Model 66, with the two piece barrel and crane ball detent would like to have a word with you. Revolvers may be a small part of the market these days, but S&W haven't given up on them yet.

I think a 9 shot .327 N-frame would be cool, but I think a new Model 16 (or a 616, like Green Frogs!) would sell better.

I'd be down for a nine shot N frame in .327 Federal Magnum. It would have to have at least a four or five inch barrel. (for Steel Challenge) And be moon clip friendly. All steel or scandium I really wouldn't care.
