I hear ya loud and clear on that one! Joe.

Been there....done that;)

Mike - I'm proud of you for deleting whatever it was:D

Guess most of us have been there done that. What really is bad is you been drinken a bit a night, post something "more then iffy", wake up in the morning and kind of remember doing so....then dread turning on the computer and see the damage. Now I really hate that!!:eek: But I am kind of learning slowly but surely, I hope anyway.

I guess we could all guess at what Mike was going to post and why he deleted it. I don't think it was about guns or cars or food. Must have been a really nasty joke maybe? Something about RBurg in a bikini?

Oh well, guess we'll never know.

Joe

Under the old rules (over 4000 posts), he wouldn't have had to delete it.

This myth, like most myths, seems to persist. I do know the former owner, and while his criteria for banishment may vary from mine, I have heard him say that people somehow acquired this mistaken idea. 4000 posts never offered immunity, according to him.

Yep- best to avoid PUI- "Posting Under the Influence". Set a limit, adhere to it and quit posting when you reach it.:D

handejector,

Last time I told that lie, I made the excuse that when I went back to edit it, I couldn't find the smilies. This time I didn't even look for them.

Some people think I have a sense of humor. Others don't. I just sit here and wonder.

I have had issues with posting under the influence in the past.
On a forum I am an admin on... I got HAMMERED... and posted, chatted, IMed for hours.
I ran all of the Autralians off the forum... Busted a guy for a BS sob story, and trolled him on every forum I found that he posted on... and sat in chat rambling.
I swore off drinking moonshine and playing online.
Luckily most of what I was posing in IMs and chat was unreadable. :D
Not saying that the booze changed me... it was all things I thought about, the booze just made me say "What the hell".

For those of you that have problems posting while intoxicated (P.W.I.). You should hook one of these breathalizers up to your computer.
You would have to blow into the device before posting! :D
