Finally got some time off, to get over to the indoor range to
shoot some loads that were three weeks old.

Was hoping that a few of the kids would get some free time but
it never worked out, so went shooting by my self.

With this new Berry bullet and the short 1.09" OAL for the 124 JHP plated bullet
I had to go through a lot of my old data and targets to figure out
how much powder would make for a safe light target load in the 130 PF area.
I was thinking that I might even try a OAL of 1.14" with this bullet
but with todays results, that idea went into the round file, with a
fail to feed, on one of my light test loads.

I wanted to off hand but the right hand nerves were acting up, so I
used a 12" long, 4x4 block of wood to rest my hand on, with a face cloth on top
so I could get a group, hopefully without any flyers.

This will be my final test with this bullet, since I don't like failure to feed with any of my bullets,
with the 90 the loads that I have shot, I have had 5-7, shooting my 3.5 & 5" barrels, so far.

Here is a picture of todays target, that I was happy with, in most of my trigger control and sight on target when the sear broke.

In my 5" with a heavy spring, these loads were the lowest that
gave me 99.9% feeding and ejections.
You might need to adjust the powder volume, to fit your pistols, with this bullet and OAL used.

Hard to tell without actually measuring, but to my eyes, old, smokey, hard to meter well Unique looks like it took the accuracy award. Old, smokey Bullseye looks like it came in second.

I've used 4.6gr Bullseye for almost everything in 9mm from 115-124gr for a while now, adjusting the OALs to accommodate differing bullet profiles.

Ed's target results @ 15 yds look quite acceptable to me. But, what do I know?

Cheers!
