FYI - just purchased 350 rounds of Blazer Brass 9mm at Dicks for $109. It came in a nice ammo box. Box has 7 boxes of 50 rds.

Good that you were able to buy that many rounds at one time but it really isn't that good of a price. Walmart sells Federal FMJ for $14.95 per 50 rounds, which works out to 30 cents a round. Trouble is they have a 3 box limit.

I live in the buckeye state, & our Dick's haven't had 9mm ammo in so long that I don't even look for them there anymore. Thank God for my lgs!!!:)

Please continue to not look, the supply will return slowly if people continue not looking for ammo.

They do it here too. I waited with the ammo morning crowd one day(The ammo scare was in affect) after working 3rd shift to buy some target 40sw, The first guy bought them out of 22lr, 9mm and 45acp target. Pissed the masses off that were waiting the same time to buy as him. He then had the nerve to try to sell it out of trunk in the parking lot for double the price till the manager asked him leave. So, I do see their reason for doing this , plus if you sell 20 people 3 boxes of ammo, the same 20 people might buy something else while there in the store.

I buy the 100 round federal boxes of 9mm at my local Walmart for around $26. I was there yesterday and they had 40 and 45 same brand and round count. Bought them for my 3 box limit.

I will not shop at Dick's, after the way they pre-emptively surrendered post-Sandy Hook.

That was their free choice to make, to make a meaningless and grandiose gesture on the back of a tragedy to demonstrate their "moral position"; my free choice to make in response to their choice was that I will never again let them have one dollar from me.

That's how a free market works. Not a matter of politics.

My LGS had a lot of ammo today just about every thing but 22lr. The prices were still too high for me. 2 weeks ago I got a box of 500 22lr there 29.99. Seemed like a lot at the time but I need a present for a friend.

My local range has 1000 round cases of Federal 9mm for $287.00. Not the greatest price but when you factor in time and gas money looking for ammo it starts looking a lot better.

I workout at an LA Fitness that is next to Dicks. When I'm able to workout in the morning, I usually stop by Dicks looking for 9mm or 22lr. I think I've been successful 40-50% of the time. Walmart is not as convenient, but I've only been successful at Walmart once in the last 6 months - and that was 9mm TulAmmo that completlely screwed my 1911. The LGSs around here are really high. I've paid $35 for 50 rds at the LGS.

I picked up 500rds of 124gn Blazer Brass for $12.99/box at my LGS this weekend. Not the sub $10 it was pre-panic, but I just don't see those days again.

Another store had the same thing for $24.99/box, so the stupid is still out there.

Actually in a free market you will purchase from the seller that gives you the lowest price for the same identical item. When you fail to take advantage of what is to your clear economic benefit, it does become a matter of politics.

I'd take a couple of those in a heartbeat...

$13 for 500 rounds? Are you SERIOUS? Heck, I still can't even find any to buy in my area! What little 22 I've been able to get lately I bought at the range and paid $6 for a box of 50!
