I think te Henry is nice looking, like the sights and like that I can use my M&P mags in it. Also like the tang safety. In fact I like everything abou tit except for the price.
Ruger-kinda quirky looking compared to the Henry,BUT is takedown and has the Ruger name behind it. BUT it requires me to buy a whole new set of Magazines (Glock or Ruger). It is also around $200 cheaper than the Henry.
Discussion is open for comments either way.

I had several (5) Marlin Camp 9 carbines, used 59/69 magazines. Very functional, the Henry Carbine reminds me of the Marlin.

At the NRA convention the crowd was too thick to get close enough to touch the carbine in Henry's display.

My overall opinion is: Same size as a M-1 Carbine without the usefulness.

Happy with my Ruger, too, though I wish it was a little lighter (I know, physics). I'm thinking that someday the aftermarket (or Ruger)will come out with magazine adapters for other types. The Henry's interesting, too, and might be on my list someday.

If you're open to an AR pattern, I suggest looking at CMMG's offerings. I bought a CMMG Resolute in 9mm a couple months back. They offer it in several magazine types. Mine takes Sig 320 mags of which I have a bunch. The Glock configuration was an option I considered, but I'm Sig-leaning rather than Glock-leaning.

The gun has been completely reliable. It has an interesting delayed blowback action that's worth reading about. Works fine, but sooty cases are an odd attribute. The same loads in conventional pistol actions don't show this effect. A curiosity really, as it's a non-issue.

I have a Ruger. First one had troubles and after one trip back to the factory they gave me a new one and paid for all the administrative BS. I was a little disappointed with the problem in the first place but very happy with how they handled it. And I am very happy with the weapon itself. I have zero experience with the Henry.

When I decided I wanted a 9mm carbine I had to have the original PC9. I held out for one with factory ghost ring sight. I think they look great and lots of fun.

Haven’t seen a Henry yet, but it looks good!
Sorry now I didn’t get a M-1 Carbine when the guns and ammo were cheap.
Probably just go to Cabelas and buy some more Buckshot!

I have several 9mm carbines and like them. Fun to shoot, and offer increased muzzle velocity over a handgun. I chronographed several guns just yesterday found some interesting results. The ammo used was some Winchester 115gr JHP:

Diamondback DB9 Gen 4, 2-7/8" - 1061 fps
Sig P365, 3-1/2" - 1105 fps
Glock 19 Gen 1, 4" - 1170 fps
KelTec Sub 2000, 16" - 1337 fps

Pretty obvious that the 16" barrel of the KelTec adds a couple of hundred fps or so. The Ruger and Henry also have 16" barrels and so should provide a comparable performance boost. There is also an increase in practical accuracy.

I like the KelTec for its compact size and lightness, and the folding feature is kinda neato. The "iron" sights on it are virtually unusable, an optic of some kind is nearly mandated. I put a red dot sight on it using a 45 degree side mount so that it will still fold. An alternative would be a quick-detach sight mount, or just leave it unfolded - it's still very compact either way.

I also have the Ruger PCC which by comparison to the KelTec feels heavy and solid, which has its own appeal. Both are set up for Glock mags, but the KelTec can also be had in S&W M&P or Sig flavor, and even in .40 S&W.

By the way, KelTec has a $100 rebate for purchases of a new Sub2000 through June 30, 2023. That's what tipped me over the edge to buy one, after rebate my total price was $376 (not including the RDS).

I like my Kel-tec Sub 2000. Mine takes Glock mags. The folding capability was the selling point for me.

I'd go with the Ruger, and buy a few 33 round factory Glock mags for it. KCI makes similar mags at half the price, but I wouldn't mess with them.

Pretty sure the Ruger comes with a 1/2x28 threaded barrel if you ever wanted to make it quiet.

Colt AR-15 9mm Carbine...shoots like a laser beam. It loves 9mm +P+.

I have 3 9mm carbines, a CZ Scorpion, A Beretta CX4 Storm, and a Hi Point. Neither of the ones you are looking at though.

Bottom line, I really like the Beretta. It takes model 92 pistol mags, and despite its looks, is very ergonomic, light weight, compact (almost semi-bull pup). Mine is accurate, and has been 100% reliable thru almost a case of mixed ammo. Nicer shooting than the CZ, and miles ahead of the Hi Point. I thought the CZ would be my favorite, but the Beretta has done nothing but impress me. They are "futuristic" looking compared to the Henry or old Marlins, but shoulder and handle great. They are about seven hundred and change. My 2 cents, anyway.
