Have the SASS (cowboy action shooting) rules changed? They didn't use to allow jacketed, or plated bullets. Also, the ammo had to be low-pressure & low velocity (less than 1,000 fps in handguns and less than 1,400 fps on rifles.

I always though a Win 94 or Marlin 1894 chambered in 45 acp would be fun to play with.........Magazine could hold 18-20 rounds.

I have used 45 Schofield/45 US in my Marlin Cowboy Special and both my regular Rossi 92s. They were both 10 rounds of 45 Colt and 14-15 rounds of the shorter 45s. 44 Russian doesn't work in 44 mag rifles and 38 S&W jams up a 357 Marlin real fast! (guess how I found out!)

I could go for one in 45ACP made by Marlin, as I strive to have a Marlin to match each S&W N frame I have…

(In the meantime, still watching for a Camp 45…)
