I normally have been reloading 125 gr RNL cast bullet using 3.8 gr 231. I get good accuracy and functionality with it.
I am interested in trying some 147 gr. loads. My cast bullet supplier included a generous sample of 147 RNL cast bullets in my last shipment of 125 gr. I have been looking in my manuals, and on various reloading sites, and don't seem to find much information. I did find one load of 4.0 gr 231 with the 147 gr cast, which sounds like it might be a little hot.
Can anyone recommend a good accurate load that is hot enough to reliably function most semi-auto's without getting to +P pressures? I'm looking for a target & plinking load, not a defensive load.
Thanks
